A live demo of ERASMO’s on-board unit
On June 26th, ERASMO will give a demonstration of the innovative on-board unit (OBU) it has been developing since the summer of 2021. The demonstration marks both the culmination of the ERASMO project, a collaborative consortium funded by the European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA), and the successful achievement of ERASMO’s aim: to contribute to building technologies in Europe powered by European research and innovation that enable autonomous driving.
The event will be held at the University of Technology of Compiegne’s Centre for Innovation and feature a public presentation of the advanced positioning ERASMO OBU, the project’s flagship achievement. Over the course of the day-long event, ERASMO collaborators and partners from organizations and companies such as EUSPA and the CCAM Association will give presentations. The flagship presentation will cover the OBU and the technologies and ideas used to develop it. In addition, presenters will cover topics such as the role of GNSS technologies in European innovation, the European automated mobility market, road features matching, and the newest trends and technological challenges related to smart and automated mobility, among others. The event will build up to a live demonstration of the ERASMO solution and the impressive results it has achieved, all showcased during a car drive.
Since its founding in 2021, ERASMO has demonstrated that Europe is a place where cutting-edge technologies that can compete globally are developed.
